We are pleased to continue our chapter tradition of recognizing outstanding technical writing by students.
Heidi Thiessen Memorial Award
The Heidi Thiessen Memorial Award recognizes outstanding technical writing by full time students in their 3rd or 4th year of study at the University of Waterloo, the University of Guelph, Wilfrid Laurier University, or University of Western Ontario. With a history of winners from both the arts and sciences, this award honors strong academic performance and the integration of effective communication and technical aptitude.

Fanshawe College Technical Writing Award
The Fanshawe College Technical Writing Award recognizes the top academic performer in the Fanshawe College Technical Writing Certificate program.
In our continuing efforts to support the development and education of technical writers in Southwestern Ontario, our chapter also sponsors a Student Chapter of the STC in London.
