Welcome to the 2007-2008 Southwestern Ontario Chapter STC Competition website.
This forum provides the information you need to participate in the competition. The Southwestern Ontario Chapter STC is not having its own competition this
year, but working with the Toronto Chapter STC. We ask that you please send your entries to the Toronto Chapter STC (details listed below), and please mention that you learned about the competition on the Southwestern Ontario Chapter's website. Read on for more details.

Deadline for entries is 5 pm on Friday, November 16th, 2007. The competition committee invites entries to the competition and volunteers for judging. More Information: Go to http://stctoronto.org and click the links for Competition. Call for EntriesThe competition is the best way to get constructive feedback on your work. A team of three judges evaluates your entry against carefully chosen criteria, determines an award level, and then provides written suggestions for improvement. Top-level award winners are automatically forwarded to the International Competition where they compete against entries from other STC communities. This year, the competition is accepting entries in the following categories:

This enables us to keep track of which advertising method is working best, and which chapter the entry came from. Send or deliver your entry package to: Questions? Call for JudgesThe competition committee is recruiting judges to evaluate the technical publication and online communication entries for this year's competition! Are you an expert in online help? Can you author a manual like nobody's business? Are you qualified to judge their work of your peers? Judges are an integral part of the contribution. Not only do judges evaluate the entries against specific criteria, they also provide written constructive criticism that the entrants value over any award level. Acting as a judge is a valuable experience that exposes you to work produced by your peers and lets you gather ideas about technical communication. Qualifications To be a judge, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
