March Wine and Cheese Meeting
A small but enthusiastic group met on March 3rd, 2009 for our annual Wine and Cheese Meeting. Over the years, this meeting has evolved from a social event to a social event that recognizes accomplishments through the presentation of awards.
The awards that were presented were:
- Patrick Hofmann was presented with an Associate Fellow award in absentia for his many contributions to the chapter, society, and profession.
- Margie Yundt was presented with the Distinguished Chapter Service Award for her many years of work on the chapter council supporting the technical publications and online communications competition, editing the newsletter, and serving as webmaster.
- Ivan Merrow (University of Waterloo, 1st place), Lindsay Brown (University of Guelph, 2nd place) and Leanna Dunn (University of Western Ontario, 3rd place) were presented with the Heidi Theissen Memorial Award for technical communication by students.
