Report on the 2003-2004 Competition

This year's Technical Publication and Online Communication competitions have come to a close. The chapter received 18 entries: 16 in the Technical Publications competition and two in the Online competition. The entries fell into a wide variety of categories from scholarly articles to training materials to online help. Eighteen judges, working in teams of three, evaluated the entries for various criteria including design, copy-editing, content and organization. We averaged the scores for each entry and assigned awards of Merit and Excellence based on the final scores. Congratulations to the following winners:

Award of Merit

• NEO DVR-3901 Digital Video Recorder Installation and Operation Manual submitted by Vivian Viitala
• DB2 Query Patroller Guide: Installation, Administration, and Usage submitted by Trisha Causley
• Agronomy Guide for Field Crops submitted by Kelly Ward.
