The Editor's Message

If you feel like someone should be sued for false advertising for calling the last two months summer, then you are not alone. I too feel like there really hasn't been much of a break between the last issue in June and getting ready for this issue in August. If the truth be told, I feel worse about the summer; I actually enjoy working on The Quill.

The Team

This year's Quill team members see the return of last year's members:  Opal Gamble (Technical Advisor) and Margie Yundt (Copy Editor). Marisa Latin has also volunteered to be on the team this year. Welcome aboard!

The Picture of Networking

Since networking has always been a central component of our chapter, we have decided to include biographies and pictures of those people on council and those people who write articles for the newsletter. Not only are these people brave enough to volunteer their time, they also allow us to get to know them and let us use their pictures. Our volunteers are even more special than I thought.

Features

This year we will continue to see articles from Nancy Halverson about living in England and her involvement with the United Kingdom Chapter.

Patrick Hofmann has also agreed to continue writing articles about communicating with pictures. Unfortunately, Patrick chose to go to Switzerland this month instead of preparing an article. Look for his first article in October.

This year, we have a new feature writer. Diane Russell wrote articles for us last year; the difference is that this year she will write articles about living in the USA.
