A great big welcome this month to Robert Cundari who joined our chapter in February. In his own words, Robert is “just finishing my certificate at Humber College, with dreams and aspirations of entering into this fascinating field.” Hopefully, we’ll learn more about Robert in a complete new member profile next month (hint, hint Robert). Robert brings our membership count to 155.

I’ve had quite a few questions this past month about updating contact info. So, for those who don’t know, here’s what you need to know:

1. The International STC maintains your contact information. Each month, the STC sends local chapters an updated contact list. We use that list to contact you via email regarding events, meetings, etc.
2. You can update your own contact information on the International website. When you signed up for your STC membership, you should have received a confirmation email that also contained your membership ID and password. Go to www.stc.org, and login using the MemberID and password. From the list of supporting links on the left, click ‘my stc profile’. You can review your current contact info and decide if you need to change anything. This includes your address, email address, phone numbers, and your preferences regarding STC communication.
3. Many chapters are moving toward secure job boards (the Toronto chapter for example). To view the job listings, you need to login using the same MemberID and password you use on the International STC website.
