The Editor's Message

After a long, cold and snowy winter, it's a welcoming change to see some of the signs of spring lately.

For all of us, spring signifies hope, rebirth, excitement or an offering of new opportunities. We've certainly had our fair share of spring rituals as soon as the calendar turned to March. We've had a very successful wine and cheese event, complete with awards, speeches refreshments and even some video footage (thanks to ExpoTube). We've also had some notable speakers in early April who talked about how they used their experience in the field of technical communication to venture into new careers.

Our spring issue also presents some new avenues, whether it would be to give yourself an edge on the job search, to find out about new ideas through conferences, or to pick up a few new tips and staying on top of the tech field via podcasts!

So take a minute and enjoy what this edition has to offer, and if you have something you want to include in a future issue of the Quill, please contact me at quill@stc-soc.org.
