Special Interest Groups
The chapter sponsors the activities of Special Interest Groups or SIGs. These groups are organized around a common topic. Membership in the SIG is open to any chapter member or non-members who are curious about the topic and the Society.
There are also similar SIGs operated by volunteers at the Society level to which any member of the Society can join. The SIGs that the chapter currently supports are listed below.
Consulting and Independent Contracting
The Consulting and Independent Contracting Special Interest Group (CIC SIG) serves as a focal point for information about practicing technical communication as an independent consultant. It is designed to help new and seasoned consultants alike to practice their trade more effectively.
